We offer a well-rounded program that strives to increase over-all fitness. In addition to learning the dances, at Piedmont Highland Dance we include periods of warm-up and warm-down as well as flexibility and strengthening exercises that are targeted to the movements of Highland Dance.
We are primarily a non-competitive class (although we do offer avenues for interested students to pursue competitive opportunities) that encourages students to grow and learn at their own pace and comfort level. We try to modify movements to suit a dancer’s current abilities and limitations so that everyone who wants to learn Scottish Highland Dance can feel they are able.
We invite you to join us at Piedmont Highland Dance
… for fun, fitness and friendships!
